  1. MacPaint 1.4: System bomb with Show Page and dialog boxes
  2. On a Macintosh 512K or XL system, choosing the Show Page option will cause your
  3. system to bomb under this set of circumstances:
  4.  
  5.   1. You've opened a previously created MacPaint document by double-clicking
  6.      on it.
  7.  
  8.   2. You've not performed any action that has caused the Macintosh to display a
  9.      dialog box containing buttons (such as OK, CANCEL, and so on).
  10.  
  11.   3. You then select Show Page and move the viewing area.
  12.  
  13. At this point, your system will bomb the next time you display a dialog box.
  14. ERROR numbers displayed include ID=2, 3, and 25.
  15.  
  16. There are two ways to avoid this problem:
  17.  
  18.   1. Before opening your document, first open another MacPaint document and
  19.      then close it with the File menu. Alternatively,
  20.  
  21.   2. Before selecting Show Page, perform any operation which causes a dialog
  22.      box to be displayed.
